The Giant Industrial Group (GIG) held a huge celebration attended by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, members of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and officials in the Kingdom, along with hundreds of invitees, to mark the group’s receipt of a certificate from the Guinness World Records for the world’s largest shirt.

During the event, which took place at the stadium of the University of Applied Sciences, the shirt that had won the record was displayed on the pitch. The shirt was 105.5 meters long and 73.5 meters wide, and weighed nearly five tons, covering an area of 7,600 square meters.

This event also witnessed many recreational activities for families and attendees, especially children who enjoyed various games distributed at the celebration site and were later allowed to go down to the field. The CEO of the Giant Industrial Group commented on this, saying, “What inspired us to choose this record to try to break it is its connection to our products, specifically the leading laundry detergent that millions of families in Jordan and beyond trust. Today, the presence of children here adds a special touch to this happy occasion, reminding us of those we seek to serve and make happy through our products.”

The Minister of Industry and Commerce also participated with the founders of the Giant Industrial Group on the platform when they received the certificate from the Guinness World Records, which confirms the group’s success in breaking the world record for the largest shirt, and grants the group the right to use the Guinness logo on its website for three years.

It is worth noting that the giant shirt will be used to produce about 8,000 normal-sized shirts, which will be distributed later to needy families in several areas of the Kingdom.

This occasion received the attention of local and regional media, where many reporters and journalists from neighboring countries and some Gulf countries were present to cover this celebration.
